Day 2/5

I’ll be honest with you, I’m not perfect and not every day goes as planned. Some days are better than others. See Exhibits A and B:

Exhibit A: Begin day. Perfect outfit. Dressed to impress everyone
at Bouchon.

IMG_2300

Exhibit B: 2 p.m. Mismatched socks. Who the &*%$ cares.

So yeah, it was that kind of day. But we still had fun playing

IMG_2303  IMG_2306

and eating sweet potatoes.

I’ve gotten so big I’m growing out of Mr. Merlin so Mommy bought me a new sleep sack. Now my hands are free and I can scratch my head to my heart’s content which means my head looks like a battlefield. Grammy made me wear a hat all day 🙁 so I wouldn’t hurt myself any more. Look kinda dapper tho, don’t I?!

That’s ok. I’m not mad. I sucked up to Grammy and held her hand while I had my bottle. She loved that and I got big-time brownie points.

And as usual, the best and favorite part of my day (and Grammy’s!)  is when Mommy comes home. Yay, reunited and it feels so good!

Day 1/5

Yesterday was my real first day with Grammy in charge. We were a bit stifled due to the snowstorm but made the most of it, like playing with my new water mat and blocks.

Then we went to Starbucks after our supermarket sweep through Whole Foods. I rolled my eyes when the girl in front of us ordered a Venti Iced Sugar-Free Vanilla Latte With Soy Milk cause she thought she was so cool. But when they gave me my cup with my name as Fluke, well that was not cool.

IMG_2279 Me not happy at Starbucks.

I went right home and told my bunny about it.

Before I knew it, it was time to eat. As Grammy was cooking dinner she kept handing me kitchen utensils to distract me. She was onto something as they were interesting for a good 15 seconds.

To sum it up, Day 1 was just my average day until Mommy came home and then it became the best day ever!

Adventures in Babysitting, Day 1

Grammy is here taking care of me for a week while Daddy is herping in Ecuador and

IMG_2189

Mommy is hard at work. This weekend we were very busy and had lots of firsts like…

IMG_2245  my first big boy swing and

IMG_2247  first big boy slide and

IMG_2191 IMG_2190-2first baby on Mars and

IMG_2192
first time sitting forward in my stroller and

IMG_2238  first toy in high chair, woah, and

IMG_2255

first time channeling Mommy in the bath (she liked to have a wet washcloth on her head and be called Madam, I like to do the same and be called Mister! Apropos since one of my names is Mister Luke!)

Then my first Super Bowl with Mommy and Grammy.

IMG_2266

I don’t know if there will be any more firsts this week but I’ll give you the 411 if there are. I hope this babysitter Grammy knows what she’s doing.  I’m going to try to be on my very best behavior.

For five minutes anyway.

Grand Funk

I’ve been in a bit of a funk the past few days. You see, Daddy is getting ready to go on a trip and I am really going to miss him. IMG_2181

He’s so good to me, I mean I wouldn’t even know about owls and snakes if it wasn’t for him. He also lets me read to him a lot. IMG_2179

But the good news is that Mommy and I will have lots of fun dancing and getting lattes and I can’t wait. You can see how happy she makes me!

IMG_2184

Don’t worry though, we won’t be lonely cause Grammy and Pops are coming to visit so my schedule is quickly filling up. Oh, and there’s the Super Bowl and Auntie Hayley too!

IMG_2180

Bye Daddy. Be safe and have a great time!

Maybe SOMEONE will take one or two, or 1000, pics to post on
his Instagram when he gets back!!

Control Yourself

It’s about time I take control.

IMG_2175

Of the clicker I mean. Enough of Daddy watching National Geographic and Nature, and Mommy obsessed with Ballers and The Killing.  I’m in charge now and we’re gonna watch some cool stuff like Sponge Luke Square Pants (hehe) and Sesame Street (of course).

I hope Mommy doesn’t make me watch Little Einsteins or anything educational. Yuck. Doesn’t she know I take after her and just want to watch the juicy stuff?

Mind Your Manners

Mommy says it’s not polite to brag.

IMG_2160 IMG_2163  IMG_2170  IMG_2173

But gosh I’m awfully cute.

IMG_2172

Oh well, as my Great Gran used to say, “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.”  I’m trying!

Theory of Relativity

I was a little bored yesterday so decided to take a walk
down Memory Lane.

IMG_0397

I wanted to check my progress. I can’t believe how little I used to be.

IMG_0523IMG_0647

I sure am growing up fast!

And here I was yesterday (January 26, 2016).

IMG_2144

All grown up! Well, for now at least! It’s all relative.

Spring Fever

Now that my Patriots have lost, I need a new team to cheer..

.IMG_2109

The snow was fun and all, but I’m really more of a warm weather guy. So I’m gearing up for spring training. Training to…work on my rolling over and sitting up by myself.

IMG_2110

Oh, and of course, baseball spring training too…Go Sox!

Let It Snow

Wishes really do come true! I wanted it to snow so badly so I could try out my new sled and play in the snow. It snowed all day on Saturday and when we woke up Sunday it was all white outside. Whoa what fun!

IMG_2124 IMG_2127

I bet I faked you out with my hat. You probably thought I had ski goggles on but nope. Anyway, we had a super fun day. All that was missing was the hot cocoa but that’s a no-no cause we’re still on the no-dairy train.

IMG_2119

I wanted to build a snowman and Daddy thought he was funny and built a snowLuke!
