President and CEO

Every day I go to my office.

Daddy teases me that I’m at work. Today he noticed that I had to go to the office early.  He doesn’t realize that it’s serious business. I have a lot to do.

IMG_2496

I have to make sure the rings are in their proper order and the blocks in their correct slots.  My primary focus is studying the alphabet squares. I’m tackling my ABCs and the periodic table is next.

I am also a manager. I have to make sure Bear is happy in his job watching me. I don’t want him filing any discrimination lawsuits
against me. I’m fair and treat bears and people equally.

Now and then I need to take a mental break and bounce in my jumper for awhile. With my challenging job, my mind needs to
chill sometimes.

But then it’s back to work. Working on securing some venture capital for my next idea. I’m thinking endless milk bottles would be a good place to start.

Seven Months Old

I was so busy playing yesterday I forgot Sunday was my seven
month birthday!

IMG_2449

IMG_2446   IMG_2445

I can’t believe I’m over half way to being one year old. Each month I’m able to do more and more things. Can’t wait to start crawling and be on the go cause there’s lots of juicy cords and bookshelves I have my eye on.  It will be fun for me, and even more fun for Mommy and Daddy!

IMG_2448

Happy Birthday to Me!

House Hunters

And we’re off to the burbs!

IMG_2463

No, we’re not moving any time soon, maybe not ever, we just wanted to scope them out for future reference.

I was excited to take a road trip. But it wasn’t all good. First,
I realized I wasn’t getting shotgun,

IMG_2470  huh, I’m in the back?

and second, I had to tell Bear that he had to stay home.

IMG_2472

We meandered through key neighborhoods in Westchester County. It’s not a long drive from the city but I still had to read
to Mommy to keep her entertained.

IMG_2467

We looked at a few houses. Not much room for a swingset but some great deals. We could steal this one for…

IMG_2466

$1.6 million!!! Plus tons of taxes! Even I know that’s a lot of toys!
Whoa, forget that, we have to save our pennies for burgers and fries.

IMG_2479

We didn’t find a town but Mommy, Daddy and I had a great day!

IMG_2465-1

I hope we’ll take another day trip again soon.

IMG_2481     IMG_2482

It sure was nice being off schedule for a change.

Rain Rain Go Away

I was wondering what the day would bring now that my life is back to status quo.

IMG_2432-1

I was hoping for a long walk but it was pouring outside. I heard someone say, “It’s raining cats and dogs!”

Oh no! I ran to the window to see if my Summer was outside.

FullSizeRender  IMG_3863

Turned out to be a silly thing grown-ups say but I hope my puppy is okay in the rain today. I miss her!

Then it was back to my favorite activity…playtime!

IMG_2436

Daddy even came down with me to check out The Second Floor!

IMG_2439

Turned out to be a good day after all!

Be Mine

Unknown

I hope everyone had a sweet Valentines Day!  I loved my first one,  especially the splashes of RED and PINK everywhere that brightened up the bleak winter day.

IMG_2411

Mommy got into the spirit and dressed me in RED as her valentine,

IMG_2429     IMG_2415

Auntie Hay came to play, then fed me lunch and then…IMG_2423

we three went to The Parker Meridien for manicures! Not me, silly.
I just picked out the colors but the stylists were making a fuss over me and begged to give me a pedi. Ok RED, please!

IMG_2421  Huh? Not this manly man!

Good thing Mommy bundled me up tight when we went out. I didn’t want to freeze like this fountain!CbNM-y0XEAAoTQT

It was a day filled with lots of love.  Daddy  came home late last night, past my bedtime, so even more valentine love to come! IMG_2428

Happy Valentine’s Day! XOXO.

Day 5/5

Mommy worked from home today so the three of us took a quick walk to do some damage at the Giggle store before Mommy had to leave for a work lunch.

IMG_3861

I’ve been a good boy all week so Grammy wanted to buy me a few toys at the snazzy baby store. La di dah.

IMG_3829

But funny how it is. The fancy (read: educational toys) that have won all kinds of awards were not that fun.  I just wanted to play with my Fisher-Price toys.

IMG_3837  They are the best.

Better yet was the paper bag Grammy’s sandwich came in.
Now that kept me busy for a very long time.

IMG_3826

When Grammy wants a break she sits me at the window and we look out. I play along and don’t let on that I know her motive. I like it though because there’s lots to see. We live near a hospital so there’s always ambulances, police cars and fire trucks hovering about. Lots of taxis too, I mean it is NYC duh.

IMG_3850 Me looking out. My hair is growing!

I’m super excited for TGIF tonight cause Auntie Hay is coming over for a pizza party. I’m the featured attraction. For five minutes anyway, then it’s off to bed for me!

Grammy and I are down the home stretch. She’s leaving tomorrow and we’re both sad. But good news! She (and Pops) will be back in a few weeks for more babysitting cause Mommy and Daddy are headed to Palm Springs for a wedding. Adventures in Babysitting, Part 2, is already in the works!

Day 4/5

Yesterday was 25 degrees. The high that is. But that wasn’t going to deter Grammy and me from playing on the swings in Central Park. Until we were leaving and the doorman said, “It’s too cold to take a baby out there.” Talk about a major guilt trip. Gulp. So Mommy choked and said, “Oh, we’re just going to the Time-Warner Center.”

So change in plan to walk around the Time-Warner Center. And around and around and around. How much H&M can one baby take? And they’re sneaky in there providing no benches to leisurely enjoy my bottle, people-watch (Grammy’s favorite activity), and count all the Canada Goose jackets.

We headed back home. It was so windy and frigid and Grammy felt badly for me (doorman’s words were looming in her head) so we popped quickly into Starbucks for a warm reprieve. Ordered, and it took three announcements of ‘Luck’ for us to realize they were calling me.

IMG_3811

I don’t think I’ve told you about The Second Floor. Grammy’s secret ammo. The second floor has the gym, the lounge, the laundry and…The Playroom!

FullSizeRender-12IMG_3796

Whenever we need a change of scenery or a walk without having to bundle up in my moonsuit snowsuit, we stroll down to The Second Floor.  The first time it was really fun. We met someone who had gone to college with Daddy. She gave me lots of good intel about the hood. The next day we met another Grammy who was babysitting her grandson and whose daughter is the Director of Marketing at Tiffanys. Don’t worry, I did my best to score some goods but left empty-handed. Today it was just Grammy and me but we had fun cause we pretended it was our secret clubhouse.

Grammy and I wanted to go outside so badly but it was just too cold. Windy too. We made the best of it and played inside all day.

IMG_3805

Maybe that’s why Grammy had an extra glass of wine tonight.

IMG_3812

P.S. Aren’t my socks so cute? Just love them!

Day 3/5

Busy day for a busy boy!

FullSizeRender-9

First thing this morning, Mommy’s friend Sarah stopped by on her way to a conference across the street at the Mandarin Oriental. She’s from London and brought me a cute sweater from Trotter’s,  the store where Prince George buys his clothes. Woo hoo, I’ll be high-stepping in style!

Then off Grammy and I went for a day on the town. We walked by Lincoln Center and checked out Juillard. I mean, who knows, I am pretty good tapping my feet on the piano.

IMG_3782FullSizeRender-3

We stopped at the fire station to see the trucks,

FullSizeRender-4

admired the dancing shoes at Capezio,

and grabbed a hotdog.

FullSizeRender-6

Giggle, my favorite store, was our final destination but I started chortling and Grammy didn’t know if I was singing or headed into a full-blown meltdown so we turned around to head back home via Camp Canine. My friend Christina takes her pug Eloise there and I wanted to say hi.

FullSizeRender-11FullSizeRender-8

As we were walking down Amsterdam, I saw lots of people with funny blobs on their faces. Grammy realized it was Ash Wednesday so we stopped in the church nearby to see. I wanted to show some solidarity with Pops cause I figured he had gotten ashes today too. We thought of him when we saw the candles because he had lit a candle for me at St. Patrick’s on Fifth Avenue the day I was born.

IMG_3764

You know how parents can embarrass you. I don’t want to be mean but Grammy kinda embarrassed me today. She doesn’t know that Canada Goose is the required uniform here. She apologized and I told her it was ok because I don’t have one either. We made a game and had fun counting the jackets as they passed because they were everywhere.

Tired boy now so we came home to nap and have some bananas. So cool because they were from Ecuador where Daddy is.  Grammy loves coincidences and another funny one today was on my socks, the day after election day.

IMG_3725 FullSizeRender-10

Oh and Guess what?! Big doins today! I sat up today for the very first time!! Well, sorta. Not perfectly up straight but a boy has to start somewhere.

IMG_3745IMG_3739

Then I chilled in my jumper seat and thought about where Grammy would drag me tomorrow.
