Busy day for a busy boy!
First thing this morning, Mommy’s friend Sarah stopped by on her way to a conference across the street at the Mandarin Oriental. She’s from London and brought me a cute sweater from Trotter’s, the store where Prince George buys his clothes. Woo hoo, I’ll be high-stepping in style!
Then off Grammy and I went for a day on the town. We walked by Lincoln Center and checked out Juillard. I mean, who knows, I am pretty good tapping my feet on the piano.
We stopped at the fire station to see the trucks,
admired the dancing shoes at Capezio,
and grabbed a hotdog.
Giggle, my favorite store, was our final destination but I started chortling and Grammy didn’t know if I was singing or headed into a full-blown meltdown so we turned around to head back home via Camp Canine. My friend Christina takes her pug Eloise there and I wanted to say hi.
As we were walking down Amsterdam, I saw lots of people with funny blobs on their faces. Grammy realized it was Ash Wednesday so we stopped in the church nearby to see. I wanted to show some solidarity with Pops cause I figured he had gotten ashes today too. We thought of him when we saw the candles because he had lit a candle for me at St. Patrick’s on Fifth Avenue the day I was born.
You know how parents can embarrass you. I don’t want to be mean but Grammy kinda embarrassed me today. She doesn’t know that Canada Goose is the required uniform here. She apologized and I told her it was ok because I don’t have one either. We made a game and had fun counting the jackets as they passed because they were everywhere.
Tired boy now so we came home to nap and have some bananas. So cool because they were from Ecuador where Daddy is. Grammy loves coincidences and another funny one today was on my socks, the day after election day.
Oh and Guess what?! Big doins today! I sat up today for the very first time!! Well, sorta. Not perfectly up straight but a boy has to start somewhere.
Then I chilled in my jumper seat and thought about where Grammy would drag me tomorrow.
