Vacation countdown has begun! This weekend Mommy, Daddy, and I are off to Ojai, California. Grammy, Pops, and Auntie Hay are coming too!

I’m a veteran traveler with flights to North Carolina and Texas. And of course drives to Massachusetts and New Jersey too. But this is a long one, I hope I can make it.

It’s going to be a busy week trying to figure out what duds to pack and what toys to bring.

I’ll bring some of my favorite instruments on the plane. I’m sure my fellow passengers will enjoy my accordion all the way to LAX 🙂

Saturday I turned 10 months old.

I can’t believe I’ll be one year old in two months. Not gonna rush it though, it’s too much fun playing  and eating puzzle pieces.

  

Yep, I’m going to soak up this baby thing as long as I can.

  

 

Hey.

I wonder if there’s anything in my DNA that spells music. I don’t think so, but I sure do love to bang a good drum.

I go to music class and I love it. I’m the happiest bouncer in the class.

I play with so many fun instruments.

I go home and tell my favorite serpent all about it.

Then it’s back to destructing the house.

 

Hey guys. Sorry I’ve been away for a few days.

You’re probably wondering what I’ve been up to. Well, I’ve been very busy, very demanding being almost ten months old you know….

I chewed on my favorite hammer…

  

drank from a cup for the first time,

and got squeaky clean after a messy dinner.

   

I have to show you the best table with tons of stuff to throw all over the place. Daddy loves picking it all up, over and over again.

Saturday we went to a puppy party at Liz’s hunt club. Fun!

I got to see puppies and horses and my Aunt Lile too!

Yep, It’s good to be back!

Wowza! It’s hard to believe but…

this is my 182nd post!

And I’m just getting started.

Now I know why everyone says TGIF … because the weekend is so much fun!!

I was excited for Saturday.

I went to playgroup (can we just admit I’m the coolest guy here), and after all the crying it was time to go home.

Auntie Hay brought me a new toy where I got to hammer pegs and we played peek-a-boo and it was so fun!

Then Mommy gave me some scrambled eggs and…

whoa, they came back up as soon as they went down! (I’ll spare you the photos) but I was not feeling well at all.

Since I was sick, Mommy cancelled my sitter and her birthday bash out with Daddy and Auntie Hay.

But don’t you worry, we celebrated plenty in 7D. Lotsa sushi and lotsa wine. Birthday cake (with dietary restrictions natch) followed by dancing to our favorite tunes. Mommy sure has the moves!

Sunday Mommy wasn’t feeling so well. I thought maybe she was allergic to eggs too but nah, I think it was the bottle(s) of wine.

We headed to Central Park to do a photo shoot of yours truly. I’m not used to wearing things on my feet  and wasn’t sure what to do with them so…

  

I thought I’d see how they taste.

did my best to strike a pose.

And now it’s Monday and I’m sad the weekend is over.

Now I know why there’s no TGIM (Monday).

Wonder what this week will bring?!

Birthday Birding! My Mommy? Who knew?!

Yep, we had fun celebrating Mommy’s B-day.

Today is Mommy’s birthday!

Even though we’re both still DF (translation, dairy-free), I bet they’ll  be some ice cream eating. I hope anyway.

I’ve got the camera ready to go for lots of birthday snaps…

which will have to wait until our weekend celebration with Daddy and Auntie Hay because Mommy is back in Austin for one night. Happy Birthday Mommy!

I had a good time in Austin.

Those warm temps felt so good, and I finally got to wear some of my new spring clothes.

But you know, there is no place like home.

My toys think so too.

I’m fixin’ to tell you about the rest of my weekend in Austin.

The next morning, Mommy and I went to get ice coffee, Yep, it had the best crushed ice that Grammy loves so much. I would export that right up north if I could.

We went to a lake and saw swans. I think I impressed Daddy cause I was looking at the swan and not the camera.

   

Mommy put us in our matching stripes. I think she really likes stripes cause she put me in them from top to bottom. 😉

  

We had the best Mexican food and Mexican Coke.

I don’t think I’m falling out of this stroller, do you?!

A popular thing to do  is to see the bats on Congress Avenue. Like 1.5 million of them. Does that sound like fun to you? Nope, me neither.

   

Saturday we hung out with Mommy’s friends from college, Marushka, who lives in Austin, and Miranda who was visiting from San Fran. They were so nice to play with me.

  

Then it was time to go to the airport. I had to keep an eye on security to make sure they didn’t swipe any of my toys. This ain’t my first rodeo.

  

Sweet Texas dreams all the way home.
