This weekend was so much fun celebrating Mommy’s birthday!

  

Mimi and Auntie Hay came Friday to kick off the fun. Auntie Hay brought her traditional fun balloons – and she added a touch of Cinco de Mayo this year.

  

She also brought some cool 36 sparkler candles which were pretty but scary to this big boy!

  

The best part was eating yummy cake and ice cream, and we had whistle lollipops too!

Mommy needed help opening her presents. I gave her a big birthday hug instead of the 36 spankings Mimi said she was supposed to have.

  

Saturday we met up for breakfast. And then we met up for breakfast (aka brunch) again a few hours later. I learned how to pinky swear, and say pinkies too.

 

On the walk home I made a pit stop at the swings, my favorite.

Then they played a mean trick on me. They went out to dinner and left me at home. For real! That was not very nice!!

But when they got back we played shadow puppets on the wall so I forgave them.

Sunday we walked to the park and I just chilled.

It was a nice spring day so we walked all over Central Park, and

 

had fun playing hide and seek, watching the ducks, playing pretend drums, and of course, admiring the excavators.

 

Before I knew it, it was getting late and everyone had to go home.

Boo hoo hoo. Why do good things have to come to an end?

Today is Mommy’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Mommy!!

I can’t wait to celebrate my most special person in the world, my very pretty, sweet Mommy!

I’m planning on lots of cake and ice cream.

Auntie Hay and Mimi are coming to party too! We’ll all toast to Mommy’s big day!

Here’s Mommy when she turned 3. And now I’m (almost) 3 and
she’s 30  + 3 + 3.

Wow, so many 3s! We usually watch the Derby on Mommy’s birthday weekend so this year it looks like my money is on horse #3 for good luck!

It’s Mommy’s birthday week!

why everyone looks forward to the weekend so much.

I get to go out for blueberry muffins with Mommy.

 

explore the city.

Go on all kinds of swings. With and without friends.

  

Teach Mommy about firetrucks and play hide and seek.

It’s all making sense to me. The whole TGIF and weekend thing.

Much better than Monday – Friday, you know?

It’s warmed up  now so I won’t have to jet back to FL asap after all!

Hey. Sorry I’ve been MIA but for good reason…I’ve been on vacation!

Yep, I was pretty pumped when Mommy said we were going on an airplane to Florida!

It had been such a long winter. Snow, cold and sickness. Something a little Florida could cure.

We hit the beach at Ponte Vedra, and kicked off the vacation in the best way possible…with a pit stop at the toy store.

I was so happy I brought my trucks with me so I could dig in the sand.

  

The weather wasn’t great but we still had fun. In a way, it was better cause I had the beach all to myself.

   

Daddy and I each did our favorite things. Um, that would be birding and digging, duh.

It wasn’t all sand and games though. We took some beach breaks. One day we went to an alligator farm.

   

Of course no trip with me means a sick-free zone. Nope. Luckily I had brought my stash of lollipops to help me feel better.

But then I rallied and went swimming, played on the playground,

  

played golf, and rode in the cart.

  

I dug in the sand some more and hunted for shark teeth.

  

Got sick again, but nothing that a thick milkshake couldn’t cure.

or a new toy.

We ate so much yummy food. I tried to be on my best behavior when we went out to dinner and not bellow out my trademark primal scream.

   

      

It really was a lot of fun. There was just one problem…

We got back home and it was freezing.

So I’m packed and ready to go back.

Hi…cool kid here!

I’ve been trying to not get down from all this cool weather.
I try my best to do things that make me happy.

A good construction site always cheers me up.

I’ve also been drawing a lot. Gotta love my gallery wall.

And then there’s good ole TV.

Now if I could just relax 😉

I was just thinking back on the weekend.

I didn’t think I had much on the docket except for Auntie Lile coming but it turned out to be really busy.

For starters, Mommy and I went shoe shopping on Saturday.

   

Getting new shoes was pretty cool but I didn’t know the best was yet to come

  a balloon!

What else did I do this past weekend?

Well, Auntie Lile came and we played. I told her I’d get her a
Red Sox hat so she’d be cool like me.

Sunday I went to my girl Amelia’s.

We had fun but as usual she was telling me what to do.

The Doc’s house was next and I played with his chickens,

and then it was Masters time!

  and better yet, lollipop time!

Yep, it was a very fun weekend.

I’m already counting down the days till the next one.

I’m making up for lost time.

It took me a long time to warm up to the Easter bunny but now I love him so much. He was really sweet to give me my new little bunny friend.

I squeeze my new soft bunny very tight.

and then realllly reallly tight.

Just to be sure he knows I love him.

It was almost Easter and I’d heard the Easter Bunny was coming. Last I saw him, he was in Hingham so I told Mommy we needed to high-bunny-tail it  to Hingham so we wouldn’t miss him.

Daddy was off looking at birds so it was just Mommy and me.

The first thing I do when I’m in Hingham is go to the farm with PopPop. I like to check on my favorite cow Mojo.

And do I sneak a ride on the tractor? You bet I do.

Monday rolled around and I still hadn’t seen the bunny so we went to the Plaza to find him. I was still leery of him so I only waved from afar. But I did build a bear and eat pizza so the day was not a total loss.

  

I needed to get on good terms with the bunny since I dissed him at the mall. I decided to bake him some cupcakes.

It was finally warming up so Mimi took me to Holly Hill. I fed hay to the horses and saw lots of animals. Truth be told, I was bored stiff until it was snack time.

But don’t worry, the snap pea snack was 100% organic.

We needed to relax afterwards so went to the beach and rested in the beach chairs we made.

The best part  of the beach was digging and collecting rocks to
paint later.

PopPop came home and put me to work as usual.

  

But then we cuddled with Sammy so I wasn’t mad at him or anything.

The rest of the week I played, went to the NE Aquarium, and ate lots of ice cream and whipped cream.

  

Before I knew it, it was time for the big day. I dyed eggs for the bunny.

 

I wanted to make sure the bunny would bring me some good loot.

We went to a pancake breakfast and egg hunt and I finally made friends with the bunny. Maybe because I brought him a giant carrot from the farm he was extra nice and we shared lots of hugs and
high fives.

I must have made a good impression because …

The bunny left eggs in the yard too.

 

I don’t know if it that was nice of him though because it was a lot of hard work finding those things.
